Early in the year injuries claimed two more of the grapplers. Despite the loss, Pine Plains ended with a 6-7-0 record. In a season of ups and downs, the Bombers were shut out for the first time in history but also set team records for most points scored and least points allowed in a dual match. Toren Brodnack put his name on the school record board by scoring 17 reversals, which exceeds the old record by four, for the season. The Outstanding Wrestler award went to Jim Hicks with a record of 14-5 with 10 pins. The Attack award for most takedowns also went to Jim Hicks. The Attitude of Most Im- proved award went to Roger Carr. The Junior High Bombers compiled their best record ever with 7-2-0 for second place for the second straight year. Brad Fletcher, after a non-winning year in 69-70, finished the season undefeated. Also undefeated was Steve Roberts. The Outstanding Wrestlers award went to Steve Roberts with a record of 9-0-0 and 6 pins.
