Born in Jamaica, West Indies, Elder Tivy received his Master of Arts in Teaching with emphasis on Religion, from Andrews University. Because he is interested in leading each student into an intelligent understanding of the basic teachings of the Scriptures, and developing in him an articulate Christianity, Elder Tivy sponsors the Seminar Club.
