All were filled with joy until the high school started to plot a threatening initiation. After the initiation, the freshmen were entertained at a party. Later, the freshmen gave Il return party. Near the beginning of the year the second year Home Economies girls gave a formal initiation for the new Home Economics girls. At the beginning of the year there were twenty-two pupils. Since then, two of the pupils have gone to other schools. ln March the boys had their basketball tournament. The freshmen lost but there were no hard feelings since they were given a golden loving cup for being good sports. -12... a

During the Course of the year it lost three members and in turn gained three new members. Many of the sophomores have entered into different events throughout the year. Several entered the duet contest last fall, the reading contest, oration contest, and many of the other things. Many of the boys went out for basketball and football and made the teams. Now many are going out for track and are preparing to enter the forthcoming meet. All the class participated in the chorus contest and two from the class attended the instrumental contest at Burns. All together the sophomores have had a successful year and hope that the coming years will go as smoothly.
