As the new school year began, students made tracks in all directions in preparation for all the upcoming sports and organizational activities. The varsity f« yotball team finished up their season with a record of five wins and four losses. Over the past four years the team s record has been an impressive 67 wins and only 3 losses. The varsity basketball team completed successful season also, with a record of 21-8, while the Frshman team finished 20-3 Another record-breaking year took place on the album charts as Prince and the Revolution overtook top-seated Michael Jackson with their album Purple Rain. Bruce Springsteen also brougnt about record breaking statistics and national pide with his top selling album Born in the USA. The Baseball team finished 16-8 with Ralph Loos and Brad Shotton chosen to be on the All-Conference Ist team. Steve Thomas made the 2nd team. In Softball, Rhonda Perkey made ALL SWEC ist team and Staci Starkweather made ALL-SWEC 2nd team On May 31 friends and families were once again brought together to pay their last respects to Stevie Hill who was killed in an automobile accident. Stevie participated in many activities at PCHS and will be greatly missed School was dismissed early the 29th and 30th, the last two days of final exams.
