PINCKNEYVILLE COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL PINCKNEYYILLE, ILLINOIS TABLE OF CONTENTS ADVERTISEMENTS We, the 1962 Pyramid staff, hope that this annual will become one of your most prized possessions and that you may look back over the faded shapshots and remember the good old days at P. C. H. S. In later years, while turning these pages if you should recall the many smiles, sorrows, and dreams of 62 we shall be content, knowing that we have done the thing we were called upon to do. We have tried to present a key to each division and activity of high school work and fun. Knowing that the key to success is enthusiasm, we have all whole-heartedly joined in to make this Pyramid one of the best ever. We feel that your satisfaction with this volume is our compensation, and with this thought we proudly give you the key to the 1961-1962 PYRAMID!! Editors, DEDICATION During this past high school year there have been many times when we have needed help and guidance. It was during these times that we found we could always depend on Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Dry, Mrs. Runion, and Mr. Smith. Whenever we have needed advice, these counselors could always be counted on to give us wise advice and guidance. They have taught us good citizenship, respect and honor in addition to helping us gain unity as a school. To You, guidance counselors, we, the Pyramid Staff of 1962, dedicate this an¬ nual in return for the priceless gifts of knowledge and inspiration you have bestowed upon us. We deeply express our gratitude for the guidance and support you have so unselfishly given us. Having not fielded a baseball team for several years we are happy to have it back as a part of our sports curriculum. Our new coach will be Don Calvert. TRACK Pictured, at left, are the three returning lettermen for the Panthers track team. Coach Stanton has a lot of material and will build the team around these three. We hope for a successful year. GOLF Last year’s golf team was one of the best to emerge from P.C.H.S. We won the District Tournament and participated in the State Golf Meet at Champaign. Four of the State squad are back with us for this spring’s competition. Pictured at right are Coach Thomas, G. Flowers, D. Keene, D. Hazen, E. Kop- shever, J. Dunn, and M. Smith.
