THE 7 956 PYRAMID PINCKNEYVILLE COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL Pinckney ville, Illinois THOMAS GYMNASIUM First and foremost in our album of memories comes the dedication of Thomas Gymnasium to Coach Merrill Duster Thomas. This gymnasium, like Duster him¬ self, is an emblem of achievement and holds many colorful memories. Looking back over the past five years, we see our astounding record of 58 consecutive victories be¬ fore being defeated on our home floor, 48 of which were won in Thomas Gymnasium. In a ceremony held at the half time of the Carbondale-Pinckneyville basketball game, December 9, 1956, the people of Pinckneyville paid a tribute to a great man for his many years of successful coaching and character building of the young people of our community.
