baseball The Pirate baseball teams showed great determination last season in holding down their end of the all sports trophy. Although the Varsity was dis- appointed with their 6th place finish in the league, the prospects for the 1974 season are very encouraging. On the other hand, the J.V. Baseball team enjoyed a fine sea- son, tying for 1st in the league while completing an excellent 13- 3 record. South defense played a strong part in many of their games. Coach Ron Nurnburger and Coach Stanley Szotek predict a better or as good a season this year as last year.
