The Pirates swept the league, plac- ing four players in the top six and grabbed third in the regional. With all the Varsity members com- ing back and some J.V. men and wom- en coming up, next years season should be most promising. Coach Hand feels his golfers have a good start at the state meet. Bill Vis and Dan Loiselle captured Co-Captain while Dan was voted M.V.P.

Paced by Jerry Huhman and Harold Newman and inspired by Coach Doug Ash, the harriers captured the first Pinckney Cross Country League Meet ever. Bob McCall and Dan Amburgy were also medal winners. The Pirates also raced to first in the Hudson invitational and finished a fine second in their own meet behind a high ranked Class B team. Jerry and Harold were voted together the MVP award while dashing Dave Perkins received most improved. With the loss of many top Se- niors, next year will begin a re- building program. But by far, the Pirates will not be counted out from anything. -
