Varsity Club meeting. Varsity Club The purpose of the Varsity Club is to create better school spirit in both the athletes and the student body, and also to produce a pride in our team. Any boy can gain membership if he has a Varsity letter, goes through initiation, and he is able to maintain good standing not only sport-Wise, but also scholastically. The Varsity Club sponsors activities not only to earn mon- ey -for themselves, but also to help the Pinckney Athletic Association provide for our school's sport facilities. The club, sponsored by Mr. John Hand, this year sponsored a dance, and travelled to Detroit to see a basketball game.

There are twenty-five members, along with their sponsor, Mrs. Dickerson. Throughout the year they have had many group activ- ities. For example, they have gone bowling, roller-skating, and have attended a G.A.A. and F.H.A. pajama party. The main purpose of the club is to encourage good will in the home as well as in the community. 1 rr 1-

Mr. McCloskey-Sponsor, Tim Gardner, Dudley West-Vice-Chairman, Stanley Eash-Chair- Stan Eash runs the Video tape Camera man, Dave Stoodley, George Cottom-Sec, Eugene Reed- Vice-Sec., Ed Gerdel. ' Audio-Visual Tim Gardner Wheels the opaque projector down the hall. Audio-Visual is a club for people who have a general interest in machines. lt gives the members a chance to learn to run the projectors and other audio-visual equip- ment, to gain experience and further their mechanical interests. The club is responsible for the efficient use of the audio-visual equipment used in the classroom. The sponsor, Mr. Richard McCloskey, permits anyone to join who has a general interest in machinery.
