coivnvlANolNc oFFicEn COMMANDER Jim J. Malloy UNITED STATES NAVY Commander Jim Mallo is a 1986 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. CDR Malloy's3Gnitial operational assignment was in USS DEYO QDD 9891 as Fire Control and Strike Officer. In addition, he served as the Combat Systems Officer in USS FAHRION QFFG 223, and he yvas assigned as the Combat Systems Department Head in the commissioning crew- a Plank Ovvner- in USS BENFOLD QDDG 651. Most recently, CDR Malloy commanded the mine hunter USS FALCON QMHC 59l from 1999 to 2001. Ashore, CDR Malloy has served as Aide and FLag Secretary to the Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in Manama, Bahrain, and as Navy Theater Missile Defense Officer on the staff of the Commander in Chief, U. S. Central Command in Tampa, Florida. He also served at Commander Naval Forces Central Command and Commander 5th FLeet staff in Manama, Bahrain in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. CDR Malloy subsequently reported to the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations lDirector, Surface Warfarej, where he assumed duties as Requirements Officer for the Littoral Combat Ship QLCSQ. In July 2004, CDR Malloy went back to sea and assumed duties as Commanding Officer USS PINCKNEY in San Diego, CA. CDR Malloy earned a Masters of Science degree in Systems Technology fCommand Control and Communicationsl from Naval Postgraduate School, and he has been designated a proven sub-specialist in National Security Affairs fMiddIe Easty, CDR Malloy's personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Meritorious Medal ltwo awardsl, Joint Commendation Medal ftwo awardsl, Navy Commendation Medal f cl Achievement medal lthree awardsl. 4 cur awar SD' and the Navy , A 5
