few gallons of fuel. And who do you think this mechanic was? This angel of mercy was none other than Willis Beck! I insisted that he tell me about the rest of the old gang. Willis himself is owner and operator of one of New York's largest garages. His partner is Ralph Brinkley who knows almost every- thing there is to know about cars. JOHN LITTLE is now owner of Hill's Drive-ln and even has three branch restaurants. DANNY THOMASON is now sales manager for all the Ford distributors in North Carolina. By the way, he was just named the world's biggest liar. I think it had something to do with chickens. HAROLD SMITH is now recording for Dot Records and has three gold records. He is married and is busy being a singing papa to his four kids. CHARLES LONG known professionally as Charlie Gleason, is TV's newest and most popular come- dian. Charles is a confirmed bachelor. l guess he is happy just making everybody laugh. JERRY MATTHEWS, that high school Romeo really struck it rich. Besides being a Hollywood Pro- ducer, he is married to Gina Bardot, the star of his latest movie. REX WALSER is now head coach at Notre Dame and the word is that he has a 5,000 acre estate. BILLY DARR is playing baseball with the Yankees and it looks like he's going to top all the batting averages this year. Despite all his fame, Bill and his wife still prefer life in good old Thomasville, so, during his off season they reside at their s5o,ooo winter home in Erwin Heights. CALVIN RILEY decided he liked the business here, so he now owns the Kaby Hosiery Mill. Besides that, he has five new mills in N. C. He is happily married and is the proud father of two children. MONROE MABE is perhaps the wealthiest farmer around. They just struck oil on his 20,000 acre ranch in Texas. Monroe and his wife think they are about the luckiest people in the world. WAYNE EMBRY is an electrical engineer at Western Electric. He and his wife own a beautiful home in High Point. Besides that, Wayne has a TV talent show designed to help young singers. JORENE JARVIS' wish has finally come true. She and her husband are the proud parents of a boy and a gifll As if being a mother doesn't keep her busy enough, Lorene is a beautician at the shop she owns. Another new development is their home in Walcliff Park. NANCY BECK is married of course, and has three children. She is also part time secretary to the mayor of Thomasville. She and her husband have just built a new split-level home. BARBAIUI CLODFELTER is neat as ever in her job as fashion model and editor of a new magazine. She and her husband live in New York City. JUDY LEONARD is owner of Thomasville 's largest beauty salon. She and her husband have just retumed from a European cruise. BONNIE STEVENSON has recently been promoted to the rank of Corporal in the WAF'S. She says that this is the life for her and she's going to make a career of it. MADELINE EMBRY has made quite a name for herself as the interior decorator for the American Square. Her husband Jerry is now owner of General Steel. They have four children, 2 boys and 2 girls. JUDY IJORD took the big step. She is married to Raeford Hunt. Being a nurse keeps her busy while their two children are at school. Judy is a wonderful nurse and is well-loved by all her patients. NANCY YOKLEY has no trouble holding the attention of her pupils at Pilot where she is teaching English. She is very proud of her husband Davis, who has been in the U.S. Navy 10 years. GAIL PIERCE is the most efficient secretary the govemor of N. C. ever had. She is married to a very successful Raleigh businessman, and they have one child. ANN SINK is a very happy army wife. She and her husband and children are living in Washington, D.C, where he is stationed. Ann is his legal secretary. RUBY EDDINGER is married and has two children.
