Seven years after the death of Ann I-Iasseltine Judson, Adoniram Judson and Sarah Boardman were united in marriage and began serving the Lord together on the mission field of Burma. Though constantly battling disease and illness, Sarah Boardman was faithful in remembering God's command chosen as the society song, Ye Are My Witnesses. ' The Boardmans have chosen turquoise and white as their society colors. Bratrud, outstanding Christian leader, devoted teacher of the Word of God, faithful friend of missions and missionaries, and a Wise counsellor. Presently she is a member of the Board of Trustees of Pillsbury College. The Doctorate in Humanities was conferred upon Mrs. Bratrud at the June, 1966, Commencement at the College. With Missions as their theme, the Bratruds have chosen for their verse John 2O:3l: Then said Jesus to them again, peace be unto you, as my Father hath sent me, even so send l you. So Send l You is the society hymn. The Bratruds' theme is shown in the symbol which is diamond- shaped with the four corners representing the World and a cross signifying the gospel message. Red and White colors are symbolic of the blood and purity of the Lord Jesus Christ. To his faithful and untiring labors we owe much of our present civil liberty. lt is to Rev. Isaac Backus that the Baptists owe so much for the preservation of the interesting and important activities concerning their history during the colonial period. lf the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Qjohn 8:1363 The Backus theme is Soldiers for Christ and the colors they have chosen are blue and gold.
