Bratrud, outstanding Christian leader, devoted teacher of the Word of God, faithful friend of missions and missionaries, and a Wise counsellor. Presently she is a member of the Board of Trustees of Pillsbury College. The Doctorate in Humanities was conferred upon Mrs. Bratrud at the June, 1966, Commencement at the College. With Missions as their theme, the Bratruds have chosen for their verse John 2O:3l: Then said Jesus to them again, peace be unto you, as my Father hath sent me, even so send l you. So Send l You is the society hymn. The Bratruds' theme is shown in the symbol which is diamond- shaped with the four corners representing the World and a cross signifying the gospel message. Red and White colors are symbolic of the blood and purity of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bunyan Society is named after john Bunyan, author of one of the greatest and most Well-known books, Pilgrim's Progress. Bunyan was the epitome of his master's Words: In this World ye shall have tribulation. The result Was a prodigious amount of Writing, Which one cannot read Without sensing the power of the Holy Spirit which so animated the man. As their verse, the Bunyans have chosen ll Corinthians 415: For We preach not ourselves, but Christ jesus the Lord, and ourselves your servants for jesus' sake. The Bunyan's hymn is Give of Your Best to the Master. Seven years after the death of Ann I-Iasseltine Judson, Adoniram Judson and Sarah Boardman were united in marriage and began serving the Lord together on the mission field of Burma. Though constantly battling disease and illness, Sarah Boardman was faithful in remembering God's command chosen as the society song, Ye Are My Witnesses. ' The Boardmans have chosen turquoise and white as their society colors.
