This We Leave We, the 1957 Seniors ofPikeville High School, being of sound mind, disposing memory, and stout heart and being desirous of remembering bountifully and extrauagantly all underclassmen and members of the faculty whom it is our pleasure to leave, do hereby make, publish, and declare this to be our last will and testament. To the future Seniors we, 4 time winners of the March of Dimes, and producers of some of the best plays leave a goal of which we are proud. To the Sophomores we leave our ability to skip without getting caught. To the Freshmen we leave our quiet, intellectual ways. we leave the faculty sighing in relief. To the next basketball coach, we leave our sympathies, and possibly a better basketball team. Ralph Howell leaves his intelligence to Carl Tyndall. Peggy Pate leaves her seat in 5th period study hall to anyone who wants it. Virginia Crumpler leaves her position as Co-Captain of the basketball team to Linda Pate. Sue Gardner leaves her silliness to Janet Pate. Arthur Ivey leaves shortness to Edward Gurley. Her love for shorthand is left to I ean Smith--Compliments of Sara Pate. Billy Herring leaves Jerry Elmore and Ray Hare fighting over his basketball suit, Gail Lancaster fwould like, tc leave her personality.--? Peggy Combs leaves her two way stretch thing-a-ma-bob to Margaret Peedin. Ray Howell leaves her crew -cut to Robert Jones. Alice Daves leaves her quiet, hard working ways to Ray Casper Hicks. Lindora Ginn leaves her book-keeping ability to Hazel Wade. Jimmy Futrelle leaves his position on the Pitchfork to Lindsay Scott. Jessie Anderson leaves her make-up secrets to Sue Cook. Bobbie Crocker should leave the faculty in peace, but instead the dirty rat leaves another Crocker. Curtis Howell, CLASS PEST, leaves the title to Frankie Tillman. Helen Elks leaves her 4-H work to anyone who WANTS it. That Little Boy Douglas Davis leaves his cuteness to Ed Crawford. Betty Best leaves Mr. Fornecker praising the day! Byrle Carraway would like to leave his National Guard helmet to somebody, but Uncle You-Know- Who thinks he ought to keep it awhile. Barbara Edwards leaves her slightly used man-trap to Joan Crumpler. Boy, this one needs improve- ment! Dora Edwards leaves IJ .---temporarily. Donald Hicks leaves his 12 years of misery to Francis Herring. Arnold Jones leaves his wittiness to Bryant Lancaster. Mary Ellen Davis leaves her used books to the Seniors of 1967. Bobby Sasser leaves his slide rule to Bill Dees. Don't flash it in geometry, buddy. Ada Wiggs leaves her seat in homeroom to Effie Lancaster. JoAnn Brain Tillman leaves her cartoonist pen to Chubby Kearney. Peggy Lancaster leaves her love for Nahunta to anyone who can get it. Barbara Tucker leaves . . . hogtied. These poor, miserable family women. Jane Sasser leaves . . . and, in so doing, leaves the other girls a chance with the boys. I.R. Crumpler will be satisfied with just leaving.
