As I gaze into the crystal ball which reveals what the Seniors of 1955 will be in the future, this is what I see: A private secretary's office, and who is the girl? Why it's Suzanne Pate. Jane Gardner is having quite a time controlling her fifth grade. Jerry Crawford is in the courtroom pleading for the life of a young murderer. I see Mack Lancaster recruiting poor misled young men into the Navy. Patricia Best is a file clerk in a government office in Washington, D.C. Joe Musgrave is teaching as well as coaching a fine basketball team. Henry Carl Hinnant is doing well as a roofing expert. Who is this smart secretary? It is none other than Janice Futrelle. Tommy Sasser is doing well as a dentist. I see Jack Scott as the future pharmacist of the Pikeville Drug Store. Nancy Howell is as efficient a private secretary as she is a housewife. I see Grace Merritt and Katy Wiggs as secretaries for officials of the United States Government. Lena Grey Ginn is managing her home and children well. Winifred Kennedy is managing a very successful beauty salon. Who is this cute laboratory technician? Oh! lt's Dorothy Crumpler. Here is something new! It is Frances Lane in charge of an Old Maid's Home. Sheria Sasser is a fine housewife and mother of several children. I hear a siren! Why it's John Hayes stopping Tommy for speeding. J.C.Gardner has become a high-ranking officer in the Air Force. Kermit Gurley is an Admiral in the Navy while his wife is aprivate secretary. I see a magnificient office building. Would you ever guess the architect? It's Facie Denning. Donald Hardison has become Nahunta's Number One electrician. Brooks Pate is very successful as the only farmer from the 1955 graduating class. Who is the nurse in the beautiful white uniform? lt's Jo Ann Forehand. Melba Sasser is working as'a dental assistant. Could the dentist be another member of the class of '55? There is Carl Farmer in a Sailor's uniform. Another of our boys working for Uncle Sam. Ray Smith is making money as Pikeville's youngest doctor Nina Lancaster has gained fame through being a good artist. Sybil Bartlett is happy in her career as a housewife. I see Colon Sasser as a happy, successful mechanical engineer. Frances Peedin is enjoying her job as a teacher at Pikeville High School. Mattie Teachey is an efficient and well-liked dental assistant. Margie Ferrell is a receptionist for her husband who is a doctor. I see a big transfer truck with Malcolm Sasser as owner and driver. Dorothy Ferrell is living in Goldsboro and working as a nurse at Wayne Me- morial Hosiptal. 15
