IN MEMORIAM It is with a deep sense of loss that the stu- dents of Pikeville College concur with the Board of Trustees in their resolution on recording the death of Mr. Thomas H. Harman and Mr. John Scott Miller, which occurred this past summer. Mr. Harman was the oldest Board member in point of service. His association with the Col- lege had been one of great intimacy and extreme interest. No phase of the college work was ever too insignificant to command his attention, and no moment was ever too large to challenge his enthusiastic support. Few families have had a more intimate association with the College than that of Mr. Harman ' s. Mr. Miller had been a member of the Board for many years and had always looked upon his trusteeship as a serious and challenging re- sponsibility. Every phase of the College work had his deep interest but he was especially in- terested in the program as contributing to the spiritual growth and development of the stu- dents.
