I h I I I I0 Coach Gary Schreiber discusses second half strategy with team members Championship Season This year Coach Gary Schreiber led the Varsity Lacrosse team to its most successful season in PikesviIIe's history. The squad compiled a 6-2 league and 8-3 overall record, missing the county championship with the loss of two marginally close games. Captained by Nate Braverman, Eddie Ginsberg, and Larry Keene, the Panther stickmen succeeded in breaking the school scoring record with six- teen goals in one game against Eastern Vocational Tech. Leading the squad in scoring were Sophomore Ricky Han- dleman and junior Dave Berg. Post season honors were awarded to numerous team members. Robby Bacharach and Nate Braverman were named to first team all county and Larry Keene and Ricky Handleman were named to sec- ond team. In addition Brice Goldsborough and David Berg received Honorable mentions. Green attributed the poor season to a general lack of unity and too much individualism. The majority of the offense was generated by sophomore Harvey Schnitzer and junior Bobby Salganik.
