The athletic department presented a new trophy for free throw record in basketball to Jeff Wagley. While the athletic award for scholarship went to Greg Hadley, the sportsmanship award went to Wagley. Beth Soper and Sue Palmer were honored as valedictorian and salutatorian respec- tively of the class of 1967. The Alton Starkey Award tor community service went to J. K. Stevens, and Debbie Hightshue. Dennis Daupert received a National Merit Scho- larship, Ned Redenbarger, Danforth Foundation Award, Debbie Hightshue, P.T.S.A. scholarship, Barbara Dean and Marilyn Brown, nursing scholarships, Janet Baker and Linda Katzenberger, Tri-Hi Y Scholarships. Students were informed of their participation in the lndianapolis science seminar- David Campbell, Gerald Taylor, Gary Wright, and Nancy Edberg. Junior Greg Hadley was again named as the winner of the math and science award. Mr. White was honored by the Student Council for his eighteen years of service commemorating the event while receiving a standing ovation from the faculty and student body. 29
