's, , awwlfDauces Provide ami Indwolv ww During the year Pike has sponsored many entertaining and informative convocations. The U.S. Navy Choir presented a rousing program. Al Unser and Art Pollard came to show a movie on the T966 500 Mile Race and talk on auto safety. Tom Grimm showed slides ot his world travels. Other shows included a one-man band and a spacemobile in the science convo. The dances featured local musical talent again this year. Perhaps through negative example a positive recommendation was made that basic minimum standards of band attire and student behavior be observed. The Student Council worked diligently to set up these regulations. Fads were not as pronounced this year as in the past-tie weeiuns, collar pins, wide belts-the mod look. Faculty mem- bers were somewhat more resigned to difficulty over hair lengths and bangs-on boys as well as girls. E-. 5, 25
