In Memory of Greg Hyatt In knowing Greg the short time that I did, the one part of Greg that I will never forget is that he lived life to its fullest each day and encourged others to do the same.” Mr. Randy Lintermoot Greg was a wonderful person who will always be remembered at Delta H.S. He was liked by a lot of people here, and you always knew he was here. I think we all miss Greg in some certain way.” Ron Abbott In memory of Greg Hyatt. “He was a very special person to many students at Delta Sr. High. His love was spread throughout this world as he traveled to far away places to explore life and to give his love where he thought was needed. His last adventure was here, with us, and will always be here within our hearts and minds, forever. We will always remember Greg’s loving smile, and his eagerness to learn about people and to care for them as well. We love you, Greg!!” Kim Edwards December 9, 1967 — September 27, 1984 Greg wrote an epitaph which we found in his school folder about two weeks after his death. It read as follows: Here lies one, who in his life, worked for a goal, and is now there (heaven). Under this, if on my tombstone I would like . . . Blessed is the man, who walketh not in the council of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Psalms 1:1 This was written September 14, 1984 for English Class. As Greg’s parents we would like to thank the Delta Student Body for your acceptance of Greg and making him a part of you. He enjoyed his school days at Delta High. He really felt a part of the football team and wanted to be a star kicker for Delta. Some of you were extra special to Greg and he told us about you. We say thank you to each one of you for your input in his short life. How we do miss him daily, and we know many of you do. Thank you faculty, teachers, coaches, and student body. We love you. Sincerely, Dallas and Kay Hyatt Kris, Shannon, and Heather 4 Dedication
