The High School went to school at 7:00 a.m. A snack bar was installed to eliminate the mid-morning hungers a student develops. Government classes were much the same as last year, except it was for a whole year. I'm not late, I still have ten minutes to get to class. 4 Tom Bamonte for two, as Weaver (14) and Demaline (32) looks on Campaign slogans rang throughout the halls of D.H.S. as the Presidential election drew near. A mock election was held by the government classes between the juniors and seniors with Nixon coming out on top. Even with the early morning schedule, time was found for sport events. And no year would be complete without our yearly visit from Santa Claus. Gary Warncke wishes he would have forgotten just once. ReeleC' 5 In biology, working on the anatomy of living animals, frogs, earthworms, grasshoppers, and little pigs are a few of the challenges one must face in biology. Mrs. Weber got the joy of her life, a room full of handsome Junior and Senior Boys. Bachl or living was set up to teach young men how to cook delicious meals and sew, -Sewing? Then finally the bell rings at 12:15 P. M. everyone says goodbye for the day. On May 27, 1973 the seniors bid farwell to Delta High School for the last time. Looking back over the year, as it comes to a close, one will say it was a year of changes. Graduation, '73 style Hey Coach, can't your wife cook? 12:15, High School rushes to get out, while Jr. High drags coming in. Class President Kim Harmon recieves her diploma. As the Class of '73 goes out into the world, there is a saying that best describes the challenges they will face. Freedom of competion and freedom of action are meaningless without freedom of touch. And there is no freedom of action without emotion. Such big smiles boys. We did it! We did it! 64 Kathy Kelley, Now all we need is someone to congratulate us. The loss came when the freshmen took a 4 and 0 record into a game with undefeated Eastwood. They came out with a disappointing 22 to 16 loss. This was the frosh's first loss, since their first game with Swanton in the 7th grade. The freshmen got back into the swing of things to finish up a great year of 6 wins and 1 loss. Their accomplishments comsisted of beating such teams as Archbold, Wauseon, Momtpelier, and Lake. Throughout the year they found themselves in some very close contests, but they almost always came out victorious. This is due to their strong desire for victory, an attitude that was proven by the fact that they won their last 7 basketball games.
