In September, the Juniors chose their class rings, and received them as an early Christmas present. The class play, being the most outstanding event, was presented with great success on November 30. The Juniors also worked hard managlng most of the football and basketball concessions, to raise enough money for the traditional trip to XVasbington, D. C., in June. Besides all this, they produced a very nice junior-Senior Banquet. We have good reasons to bd proud of our industrious junior class this year. t

And Came The Spring, a comedy of modern youth was presented November 30, 1948, by the Junior class, under the direction of Mrs. Mack. It is the story of a typical American family who suddenly find themselves surrounded by spring, and love. On the nrst day of spring vacation, Midge, the ' 1 in jest. finds herself amidst her Hrst love, Buzz Lindsay, but it seems that the gentle'-nrtif of her choice is unluckily in love with Midge's older sister, Virginia. When Midge :.ttr.inpts to manage lives and emotions to suit her own needs, the hectic and hilarious CO!-Ctlil'l'1S into which she plunges the family almost prove disastrous. She causes her sister Zll?'l1Oinf to lose the right boy: she disrupts brilliant brother Elliott,s carefully planned life as a writer of tragic novelsg she threatens her father's businessg in short the sanity and well-being of everyone concerned is threatened. But in the end, Midge again steps in and fixes things up: and bv the t11ne spring vacation is over, the three Hartman children have taken important steps toward maturity. Their parents have learned a few things, too.
