Wallace Black is an author who has suddenly decldcd to go to Atlantii- City. To make a little money, His secretly nlarrled servants rent his apartment to Peggy Arbuckle. Vtfnllaee returns suddenly and finds Peggy living in his apartment. Before she can move out, an embarrassing situation arises when Madge Bev- erley, his fiancee, and her friends discover her there. It seems that Wallace and Peggy had met be- fore and had parted not too friendly. Both Xvallace and Peggy had to do much explaining to add to the coniical situation of the play. .
