It was organized in the early part of the school year, and we know it wvill prove to be worth-while to all our cheerleaders and to our school spirit. Our Pep Club is made up of students, who are full of llvll, and always ready to yell for the good of their tellin. This club is a club that xvill stick by our teams tlll'0llg'll0llt all the games. The cheerleaders need our help, in order to create a real loud cheer, and we know that six cheerleaders ean9t do all the yelling: and make enough noise for the entire school. They need our help. By having' a pep eluh, which is composed of students who know most of the cheers and follow our team to all the games it will help Delta to have a real cheering' section. This clnh will be able to back our team throughout the entire sport season. Several members participated in the county music festival at Archbold, while all the members participated in the home instrumental April 23. The entire band also entered in the district contest at Ohio Northern University. The credit for the participation and fine work of the band is due to Mr. Dambarh, the director. The girls have vim, vigor and vitality. Jerry and Nita have the aerobatic abilltyg while Pat, Irene, sharon and Margie have the all-round general peppiness. The student body is proud of its cheerleaders as it certainly should he, for the girls have added much to the cheers and to the llveliness at the games. Thanks, girls. SPORTS Sports started off withabang in the mid- dle of the summer with, of course, football prac- tices. The boys and coaches worked hard and their efforts were appar- ent during the games. Delta is trying to enter the Great North- western League and the chances look quite good .as we played all th e schools in this league and defeated allbutone team. The team, playing through all k i n d s o f Weather, displayed f i n e co-operation a n d team work. The boys were 'lucky to escape this year without any serious in- juries. After football, of course, comes basketball. After a very short practice period, the team started by losing to Toledo Scott. During the season they had their ups and downs -and at the Tournament, showed their skill. Next came track, in which Delta has always ranked high. They at- tended relays' throughout 'the state. Baseball also has its place in the sports pro- gram. The teams played against other teams in the county. ,N 2 5 as 2 SS Q, ic EJ 2 55 32 3 is S ,JN iii if fu fy fli .MW , V, ,,, ., .,,,,x,L,, .
