Kaufman. Delta's Senior Class presented this comedy on April 11, 1947, under the direction of Mrs. Johnson. The story, a satire on Alexander Woolcott. concerns SHERIDAN WI-IITESIDE'S efforts to keep on in his merry, selfish way of life while confined to a wheelchair in the home of MR. AND MRS. ERNEST W. STANLEY. VVHITESIDES attempts to discourage the romance between his secretary, MAG- GIE CUTLER, and BERT JEFFERSON, a young newspaperman, form the basis of the play. In, around and among all this, WI-IITESIDE'S madcap associates whirl through ludicrous situations to a hilarious climax. The cast was: Mrs. Ernest VV.
