Beymer, the orchestra provides music and entertainment for many activities. including the Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiv- ing and Memorial Day assemblies, and the Tree- Planting and May Day ceremonies. Members of the club play the organ at school functions such as P. T. A. meetings, assemblies, and night receptions. The club also plays for hospitals and church organizations. Working hard to promote school spirit and morale is the task of the Cheerleaders. ln addition to leading cheers at the football and basketball games, among other activities, they plan and are in charge of pep fests. prepare and distribute Hpin-onsw and posters, and make announcements about athletic activities. On November 26, 1958, the 80-member Senior Choir and the 40 members of the Choraliers sang of Thanksgiving. On December 23, 1958, the group presented the Christmas Assembly. The first, entitled 'gThe Old Lady Shows Her Medalsf' was given on December 12, 1958g the second, a school-time comedy was given on March 6, 1959. The club represented the school at the Delaware Play Festival with the second performance of 'LThe Old Lady Shows Her Medalsf' On April 17 and 18, 1959, the club presented their annual three-act play, called c'Uncertain Wings.
