5194 Many school and outside organizations find the Stage Crew most helpful. They operate sound and lighting equip- ment and construct the sets for the class and Royal Masque plays. They prepare the stage for activities in school time, and many others on outside time. They also operate the public address and play the records for school dances. SITTING, left to right: D. Seating the student body at assemblies and keeping order there, have been the major responsibilitifs of Ushers and Hostesses. In performing their jobs, the squads have met with interesting and varied problems such as: keeping order during fire drills, as- sisting the sick, watch- ing for disturbances, and co-operating with the faculty. Z- 7eea4 The P.S. Y-Teens have been in progress for several years. It is a group of girls headed'by a counselor. These girls visit other Y-Teen Clubs throughout the state. They have speaking contests and compete in local and national conferences. Its pur- poses are to foster better interest in Distributive Education, and bring together the two groups of co-oper- ating students in the school. Delegates are chosen for participating in the na- tional meeting. een alma diff' The Future Teachers of America Club, headed by Miss Ruth Green, Miss Ella Hoyt, and Mrs. Amy Farrand, has three purposes: to give young people specific informa- tion about opportunities in the field of education, to help young people develop qualities which are necessary for successful teaching, and to acquaint yoimg people with the history of our schools and the part they play in our way of life.
