Gardiner. consisted of the class officers, the Student Council officers, the Pierrean and Clarion editors, representatives from the business courses and other organizations, and three members chosen at large from the class. The council helped work out many problems and developed new ideas for the benefit of the class. Composed of elected representatives from each homeroom, the Student Council plays an important part in gov- erning the policies of our school. With Mr. J. R. Derrick as sponsor, the Council Works hand in hand with Mr. Joseph Brewer to solve student problems, as well as to carry on the high ideals of our school. The I959 Student Councilis main project is establishing a code of ethics for all students to follow. It continues to work on the usual projects such as keeping the cafeteria clean, running dances, collecting clothes for the needy, and collecting money and food at Christmas and Thanksgiving. 0 0 Not oaks alone are trees.
