In these exciting days, filled with parties, proms, and the other enjoyable events of the commencement season, may I wish you all of the joy and glamour that goes with high school graduation. At the same time, may I offer you the life-long challenge that commencement, a milestone in your growing up, really is. I think I can no more briefly sum it up than to challenge you with the school's motto, BE UPRIGHT, as you take your place and face your next steps in our ever-changing world. Principal ' Congratulations, Class of ,59. The reward for your respon- sibility in keeping this graduation appointment is more responsibility. Continue to strive for God's approval, and the successful life will continue to be yours. These good old daysfi which are packed with all kinds of potential, are the most exciting and demanding that the world has ever experienced. Do not allow yourselves to be misled in your confidences and trusts. Be wary of those who think that they are courageous and brave when they are merely unruly. Keep your high standards and your worthwhile goals. Know that obstacles are only those things you see when you lose sight of these goals. Dean of Boys dmch aww
