FORENSIC GROUP TAKES HONORS BACK ROW: Charles Barton, Roger Robbins, Howard Hyde, Miss smoking, Coach FRCNT Row: Sharlene Graff, Fem creamer, Sally Schliessmann, Dennis Morrissey INSERT: Florence Iversen Pierre High School's most favorable record in interscholastic competition belongs to the debaters. The overall record of the squad for the 1951-52 season is 30 wins and 12 losses. 'mis does not include the divisional toumament, which was not held until after the press deadline of the Cmmbo, and the subsequent state tournament. Four seniors, each with tw years' previous experience, made up the teams which repre- sented Pierre in the divisional tournament March 18. They are: Howard Hyde and Dennis Morrissey, affirmative, and Florence Iversen and Sally Schliessmann, negative. These teams aggregated a season record of 14 wlns and three losses. Pierre defeated in debate winner, four times: Gregory, Philip and Sturgis, each three times: Doland, HIQIITIOPG, Presho and Redfield each twice: and the following schools each once: DeSnet, Huron, Lead, Lemmon, Mitchell, Mundo, Rapid City Sloux Falls and Vivian. P1erre's losses were tm each to Gregory and Huron: and one each to: Eureka, Lead, Mitchell, Presho, Philip, Rapid city, Winner and Vivian. 28
