IN MEMORIAM Edward Pequignot Born July 15, 1912, a graduate of Pierceton High School, class of 1930, and a resident of Pierceton since then, Ed Pequignot also served several terms as alumni president. During this time, Ed promoted and was active in a number of th ings related directly to our school: he originated the annual spring sports banquet and personally emceed it on many occasions; he started the fund raising campaign for outfits worn by the cheer block; he served as sports reporter for the local paper for a number of years; he promoted and took an active part in Little League summer baseball for years; and per- haps, most lastingly and meaningfully, made himself available with advice and encouragement, as well as financial help, to students who desired further education. In the community Ed was an active member and president of the community service clubs, such as Lions and Commercial Club, he served as postmaster, and consistently, over the years did everything in his power to make his community a better place to live. With his always cheerful smile and greeting, he was an inspiration to his huge circle of friends and to all who met him. We can say it no better than his friend, the Reverend Bill Clemenson did: He was a good and faithful servant. 2
