ROW 3: COACH, Dave Forsberg; Dave Valentine, Jay Outcelt, Curt Gates. SECTIONAL CHAMP Capping an outstanding season for our wrestling team was Chuck Collier, partici- pating in the regional meet at Fort Wayne, as a result of his first in the sectional meet at Elkhart in February. Chuck, wrestling in the 120-lb. class, also won his first match at the regional meet in Fort Wayne, but was defeated by Baumgardner of North Manchester in his second match. This gave Chuck a record of 19 wins and only 4 losses. With a season record of 12 wins and 2 losses, Pierceton placed third in the Sec- tional out of a field of 13 teams, with Elk- hart and Jimtown ahead of us . In addition to Collier, the following wrestlers placed in the sectional meet at Elkhart: Rudy Espinoza, 2nd in the 98-lb. class; Lew Collier, 2nd in the 148-lb. class; Stan Smith, 3rd in the 136 -lb. class; Phil Gates, 3rd in the 183-lb. class; Roy DeLaCruz, 4th in the 106 -lb. class; and Gary Hostetler, 4th in the 141-lb . class . 23
