ICE SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Jim Mettler, Vice -pres.; Mrs. Boley, Sponsor; Kay Howell, Pres.; Judy Harter, Sec.; Mr. Reed, Spon- sor; Brenda Leedy, Treas . The senior class of 1965 held many proj- ects this past year in striving to gain their trip to Washington, D.C. The class started its fund raising activities with a Christmas card sale . They made a good profit from the card sales. They had cake raffles at basket- ball games, worked the concessions rooms at all games, and sponsored numerous dances after the game. They made a success of their bake sale and rummage sale. They also held a successful car wash. Their next project was to sell Pierceton High School sweatshirts. This was one of the more successful projects con- sidering the time and work involved. The last project was the Chicken Barbeque . They es- pecially enjoyed working for this one since it was their last. Winning Times -Union WRSW awards were Jayne Ashley in social studies and Herb Wol- ter in science. This was Jayne ' s second year to win such an award. Another senior. Garth Cone, was the first athlete from Pierceton to graduate with 16 major athletic letters to his credit. Not only was the senior class a hard working one, but it was well represented in all areas of school activities. VALEDICTORIAN - Kay Howell SALUTATORIAN - Brenda Leedy
