1961 ECHO” DEDICATED TO MISS FLORENCE LONG We, the annual staff of 1960-61, proudly dedicate this annual to Miss Florence Long, who retired as head of the mathematics depart- ment, Earlham College, after many years of dedicated service in the field of public education. A graduate of Warsaw High School and Earlham College, Miss Long did post-graduate work at Bryn Mawr College, and the University of Illinois where she received an M.S. degree. After graduate work she returned to Earlham College where she was head of the mathe- matics department from 1940 until her retirement as Professor Emeritus in 1959. The local chapter of Future Teachers Association is named in her honor. We are happy to dedicate our annual to Miss Florence Long in recognition of her achievements and many years of untiring service.
