FRESHMEN OFFICERS Secretary Eddie Cotton Treasurer Theresa Gates Sponsor Mr. Jan Tucker President Robin Stickney Vice President ....... Phil Conley The freshmen started their first year of high school by electing able officers. Marcia Smith and Terry Hill were elected Student Council representatives, while the class sponsor is Mr. Jan Tucker. October 2, 1959, was probably the biggest day for the 1959-60 freshmen. That was initiation. The girls wore all different sorts of jewelry, a gunny-sack dress, one high heel, one flat, and some unusual hair styles. The boys were dressed in tight skirts, ladies hats, boots, and each boy had a nylon stocking on one leg. The official ending of initiation was the all school party held that evening. November 2, 1959, the class held their first class party at the roller skating rink in Syracuse. Susie Parker, wearing a lovely white formal, was the freshman representative for the Basket- ball Queen’s court. Another class party was held in the spring.
