JUNIOR OFFICERS Vice-President • Joe Crouch Secretary, Janet McConnell Treasurer, , David Mowrey Sponsor Miss Thompson President, ,,,,,, Stanley Pequignot Sponsor ,Mr, Mowrey Soon after school began, the juniors received their long awaited class rings. Following tradition, the junior concession room was opened at noon. They also sold refreshments at home ballgames. This was a large contribution to the junior class treasury. The annual hay ride was held in October this year. The group rode to Collamer Falls where they enjoyed a weiner roast. Then they saw a movie at South Whitley before returning home. For Christmas card sales, the class was divided into two teams with Becky Fletcher heading one team and Vicki Miller being the captain of the other. In January, the losing team prepared a chili supper with a dance after it for the winning team. In December, Diane Alexander was chosen as the new Basketball Queen from the following candidates; Bonnie Shepherd, Beth Coble, and Becky Fletcher. Queen Diane ' s reign began at the Mentone ballgame. The junior class sponsored a WOWO record hop in April. Also, the junior play was in April with a party for the play cast after it. The juniors enjoyed their second-semester class party.
