IUNIORS OFFICERS Linden Boggs . . . .VICE-PRESIDENT Mary Lou Jones . . . . . PRESIDENT Jack Beebe . . . . . . TREASURER Christine Sellers . . . . . SECRETARY At the beginning of the year the Juniors received their Class Rings. Following tradition the Juniors opened the candy room, called the Junior Room. Sales were very good boosting the treasury up to iB3,000. This made the 58-59 Junior Class the first to reach this amount by the end of their Junior year. In October a hayride was enjoyed by all. The class then journeyed to Collmer Dam for a wiener roast, which was followed by going to a show at South Whitley. The Christmas Card campaign was opened in October. Janette Homan was top salesman. The class was divided into two teams. The losing team treated the winners to a Chili Supper and dance. Christine Sellers was elected by the student body to be crowned as Basketball Queen. Others nominated were Mary Lou Jones and Judy Crouch. A WOWO Record Hop was sponsored by the class to add to their growing fund for the Senior Trip. The Junior Class Play entitled Girl-Shy was presented on April 17th. It was directed by Don Kinsel. The cast and their dates were invited to Judy Crouch's home for refreshments and dancing. The American Legion and the Lions Club sponsored the Girls' and BOYS' State respectively. Mary Lou Jones was chosen for Girl State with Janet Danner as alternate. John Stouffer and Bill Schaller were chosen for Boy State with Linden Boggs and Jack Beebe as alternates. The final event of the year was a wiener roast and dance held at the school building on May 13th.
