Schwlbami V 1 i Maynard Spann, Richard Fletcher, James Tuttle, Carl Franks, walter Warner. On August l,1955,we will be celebrating the third birthday of the Monroe-washington School Corporation. We have gone a long way since 1952 in cementing this school unit into a working partnership, which has proved very advantageous to both townships. The members of our first board were President, Richard Pletcherg Secretary, Clifford Sellers, Treasurer, James 0. Tuttle. Colonel L. Likens and Maynard Spann made up the balance of the school board. Since 1952, the personnel of the school board has changed from time to time, but we have always been fortunate to have the same high type people directing the affairs of the Corporation. The work of this board has been very unselfish in dealing with the problems of the schools, and at no time has partisan feeling entered into their de- cislons. we are confidently looking forward to one of the finest school systems in the county and with the earnest cooperation of all con- cerned, that aim is assured.
