Varsity Football For a small group, the Varsity Football team did a tremendous job, coming in third overall in league standings. They played doggedly against larger teams in pre-games, and then fought with their Pierce spirit in the league games. Mid-season, the mighty Bears had to make up for the loss of their quarterback by using different plays. The Bears lost to the two team teams that went to the playoffs. Coach Schroeder commented, This year was very successful! Sp sored by Marilyh and Frederick SWm :;:r ' ---- ,: ,.,.. V arsity Football 29 JV Football The JV football team had lots of courage and enthusiasm, coming in 5th over-all. He has built a trailer using his skills, a cam bearing driver, lift kits, and many other things. Yes, Clarke is sure a handy man! Money was hard to come by, so new clothes, appliances, and re everything else were rarely seen. This year started off the Great Depression. The Senior class of l: unfortunately couldn ' t scrape up the funds they needed to put out a yearbook that year, so those all imporp memories couldn ' t be captured and stored in a treasured yearbook. Because of their great loss, we.fl yearbook staff, have decided to dedicate our yearbook to the class of 1933. The members of the class of 1933 are Tom Sills, Bob Perkins, Leroy Sackett, Terry Tull, Glenn Myers, Rankin, Bruce Ruble, Elwood Chambers, Louise Miller, Gretchen Fisher, Arvilla Chisholm, Jessie Poundstii June Morris, Verda Lou Christian, Doris Stetson, Miss Frances Miller, Frances Wyer, Sarah Waltsins, Ei i DeBolt, La Vanche Christian, Cecilia Schohr, Addie World, Mabel Bertinsen, Clarice Hill, Leva Olivetti, Stcl ' Atran, Mr. Hollenberg, Danny Ryan, Lester Gammons, Bill French, and Walter De Bolt. 1.
