dF 1£ During the past three years our friends have given Piedmont College over a mil- lion and a half dollars . This is beautiful pretty mail, and indicates the confi- dence of people in our students, faculty members, Trustees, the administration, and our program . I am glad to note that each year a little larger percentage of our graduates and former students include Piedmont College in their Tithe and benevolence program . As the Bible teaches Where a person ' s heart is, there also will be a liberal portion of his goods . The growing dedi- cation and support of our own alumni will play an increasing role in establishing Piedmont College with growing strength for the children and grandchildren of this year ' s graduating class. The adventurous spirit of the faculty and the trustees was reflected anew in 1967-68 by the launching of our World Tour Seminar for four history courses of college credit. Tours in the United States and Canada have been a part of our Social Science division curriculum for many years . During our current year we made historic progress with very important developments in this area of our liberal arts pro- gram. We visited with former students and graduates in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Hawaii and Los Angeles. While conserving that which is just, pure, and of good report, we also press on toward the new goals of our high calling in Christian higher education. JAMES E. WALTER President A.B. , B.D. 21
