FOREWORD In order that the students of Piedmont College may have a more tangible record of their activities and associates during 1938 and 1939, and that pleasant memories may be more effectively presented to those outside our institution by a portrayal of our College life, and with these ends as our ultimate goals, this yearbook is published. Realizing that our College spirit, which is the un- derlying principle of our happy College days, can be depicted in no book, we hope that such indica- tions as given here will be sufficient stimuli for the recollection and retention of such an attitude.
