UUR MISSION PICTOR's job is food . . . food for supplying ships of the Fleet, at sea or in port so they can maintain their on the line status. This is accomplished by an UNREP or INREP fUNderWay REP1enishment and INport REPlenishmentJ. The role which we play in the Navy's supply system is very rewarding to us for it is our job to transfer dry or canned goods and other assorted fresh and frozen items to our fellow shipmates at sea. PICTOR is not a new ship and we do not have many of the automations that the new supply ships have. However, we still are known for our ability to trans- fer the chow in an efficient manner. The hours during an UNREP are some- times long and tedious but we have full knowledge of our job and we work at it diligently. We are proud of our ship and our job . . .
