ETCHINGHAM, JR., USN OPERATIONS OFFICER Operations Department is composed of four different rates: Radiomen, Signal men, Radarmen, and Electronic Technicians. Together they are responsible for the tactical operations of the ship. ' The Radiomen are responsible for transmitting, receiving, and maintaining the security of messages While Signalmen send and receive visual messages. Radarmen operate and perform upkeep on our surface search radar and the Elec- tronic Technicians maintain, repair, calibrate, tune, and adjust all electronic material. The Executive Division consists of Yeoman and Personnelmen who perform the paperwork of the ship, Hospital Corpsmen who treat the crew's aches and pains, and the Postal Clerks are depended upon for our mail. Lieutenant ETCHINGHAM relieved Lieutenant BARRON as Operations Offi- cer on 10 August 1969. Ensign PYZNER relieved Lieutenant Qjunior gradej DRISCOLL as CIC Officer on 15 September 1969.
