The fun, games, and light heart- ed gaiety of every carnival were brought to P. H. S. Friday, No- vember lZ, when the school held it's annual Winter Carnival. A night of fun for all began when the doors opened at 7:30 in the evening. People from Pickstown and surrounding towns turned out to make the evening a suc- cess. The different concessions enjoyed were Bingo, fish pond, white elephant, dart game, bas- ketball throw, baseball throw, turtle races, novelties, duck pond, candy stand, kiddy movies, and lunch room. The evening came to it's climax when Sarah Halloran and Charles Massey Qfreshmenlwere crowned Queen and King of the high school. HOMECOMING ,,,,, ff gg ll, 3 The annual Homecoming festiv- ities of Pickstown High School began Thursday night October 7, with the presentation of skits by the classes andZ. musical num- bers by the sextet. The highlight of the evening came when Jim Herrold, student council presi- dent, crowned Sally Bromberg and Guy Rhoades as Queen and Marshall of the 1954 Homecom- ing. After the Coronation, a suc- cessful Snake Dance was held which ended at the late movie. Friday, the 8th, brought the day of the game with Lake Andes. At the halftime of the game the Queen, Marshall, and their at- tendants were presented to the spectators. With a record num- ber of alumni taking part, a very successful Homecoming was ended although our game was not quite so successful.
