Superintendent’s Message It is with great pleasure that I commend the 1979-80 yearbook staff for their efforts in producing this excellent record of the past school year. Theirs has been a unique task: that of viewing objec- tively the school’s activities while at the same time participating in them. These young people and their faculty advisers have combined creative ability and a great degree of dedication in accomplishing the goals they set months ago. For their special efforts we are grate- ful. because in years to come the 1979-80 yearbook will only increase in its value to us. Like the yearbook staff, our faculty, staff and students throughout the parish have worked dili- gently to achieve their goals also. Significant progress is evident in our school system as we review past months, and I am pleased that we have met our challenges well. Our nation’s homes and schools are greatly responsible for America’s position of world leader- ship. As we enter a new decade, the 1980’s, let us take stock of our country's goals and prepare ourselves for even higher levels of proficiency and productivity. I wish for each of you much success. Assistant Principal’s Message As the school year draws to an end, it is with great pride that I address myself to the greatest student body in Louisiana. Many accomplishments have been achieved during the year. However, we must look toward the future and not boast over our past achievements. To you Seniors of 1980, remember, only the groundwork has been laid; it is now time for you to pick up the reins and continue where others have left off. Congratulations to the yearbook staff and sponsor for providing each of us with memories which will remain a part of us throughout our lives. The 1979-80 school year has been a pleasant one.
