Principal’s Message The Pickering Yearbook Staff and Sponsor de- serve the praise for their untiring efforts to produce this 1969 edition. There are students who do that “extra,” beyond the call of duty so that all may have greater benefits. The extras in life usually do not just happen; they are made possible by civic-minded people who work for their community, their state and their country. We hope that some-of the people pictured in this Annual publication will eventually go out into the world and be a part in making our country a better place in which to live. One of the aims of any school is to help make pupils better citizens. Let us hope that our students will be ones who will contribute to the society of which they are a part. Sincerely Finly S.
