J. T. STAGGS Ward 4 MR. MURPHY O’BANION Principal’s Message The Pickering Yearbook Staff and Sponsor de- serve the praise for their untiring efforts to produce this 1969 edition. There are students who do that “extra,” beyond the call of duty so that all may have greater benefits. The extras in life usually do not just happen; they are made possible by civic-minded people who work for their community, their state and their country. We hope that some-of the people pictured in this Annual publication will eventually go out into the world and be a part in making our country a better place in which to live. One of the aims of any school is to help make pupils better citizens. Let us hope that our students will be ones who will contribute to the society of which they are a part. Sincerely Finly S. Stanly, Principal Pickering High school Elementary Principal’s Message May I take this opportunity to congratulate the editor of the yearbook 1968-69, her staff, and sponsors for a job well done. Each student that has taken a part, no matter how small, can appreciate this annual. It has been a privilege for me to be associated with this student body and may each of us strive to do an even better job. in the future. May each of us cherish this book more as the years pass by. May each of these students have continued success and our school and community prosper because of them having been a part of it. Sincerely yours. L.
