WM Gum Wim SWS Ruth Green was crowned the First Miss P.H.S. by John Greninger, the Student Council President, in a ceremony that climaxed the pageant February 23. Ruth is a senior and the daughter of Mrs. C, H. Kerr of Picher. Congrat- ulations, Ruth. Surrounded by Stuffed Animals, Ruth sings g'Like Animals , a selection from Doctor Doolittle which won her the first place in talent and the pageant. 9 Edna The theme for the pageant was I Believe . The girls wrote a theme about what they believed in and it Wasjudged be- fore the actual contest began. The Master of Ceremonies was Dale Bryan, President of the Senior Class. ' 1 is EEE At the end of the show, before the announcement to the Queen, all eight contestants reappeared on stage to sing I Believe.
