In the Spotlight Dear Mr. Spoon, This book is dedicated to you because you are one of our favorite people. You have our love and respect because you are a good , teacher and a good coach. In both of these very exacting duties, you have proved yourself firm, kind, and very interested in the things ac- complished by the students under your super- vision. We know that you gave up a career in pro- fessional athletics to teach and coach. That you would have been successful is proved by your history fsome highlights given belowy in high school, college, and in the service of your country. We do appreciate what you teach in the classroom and what you have done for our boys and our school in athletics. When you are gone, the memory of you will linger on in the halls and on the playing fields of Picher High School.
