V ',7.t,..tf Since this is the year of our state's Golden Anni- versary, Oklahorna! is the theme of our 1957 Zinco. It expresses our pride in the history of thi brand new state. Although we claim many superlatives in contribut- ions to our nation's life, we would point out here only that modem Okla- homa, necessarily super- imposed upon her beauti- ful scene and glamorous past, is the product of her dynamic, wonderful peo- ple. That same spirit which moved the Boomers to rush the settlement of Soonerland has pervaded until we are recognized as modern pioneers in many fields of science and culture. We glory in the fact that Oklahoma's people believe in youth as her richest resource and have provided richly for their education. We're proud that our state's fiftieth year has come to fruition at this period of our lives--our lives so full of pur- pose, so full of magic, alive with destiny. . .We are happy to have a part in her celebration and to march with her into the future. We're proud to be Sooners! sg, lf: ,A E 4 faxn'-' E55 x, N'--A W U ul'-rl' fx V' 6 i Len 'uw' myinxl comes . K

Her cooperative disposition, her friendliness and her zest are constant sources of encouragement. As stu- dents, we are endebted to her for all the character building attributes she has inspired. Because of her we will be better citizens as we march with our state into the future and to her We gratefully dedicate our 1957 Zinco
